Shaykh Ibrāhīm Niasse (d. 1975) read the whole Qurʾān aloud at Medina Baye over fifty-six sessions between ẓuhr and ʿaṣr in Ramaḍān 1383/1964, and his students wrote those sessions down as Fī Riyāḍ al-Tafsīr. The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. A word carries no underline where the corpus supplies no root. Lexicon entries are a reading aid and carry no page reference; the edition does not cite them. ( بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ لِنَّا أَنزَلْنَهْ مِي لَيْلَةِ الْفَدْرِ) إنا أنزلناه القرآن أي جملة واحدة من اللوح المحفوظ إلى السماء الدنيا من العرش إلى السماء الدنيا «في لَيْلَةِ الْفَدْرِ» (وَمَا أَدْرِيْكَ) أعلمك ( مَا لَيْلَةُ الْفَدْرِ) تعظيم لشأنها وتعجيب منه (لَيْلَةُ الْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِرَ ألْفِ شَهْرِ) ألف شهر ليس فيها ليلة القدر خير منها ليلة القدر، ثلاث وثمانون سنة وثلث سنة. أعطى اللّٰه أمة محمد هذه الليلة تداركا لقصر أعمارهم لأن الأمم قبلنا يعيش شخص تسعمائة سنة، ثمانمائة سنة، وهؤلاء أعمارهم ما بين الستين إلى السبعين غالبا فأعطاهم اللّٰه ليلة القدر ثلاث وثمانون سنة (تَنَزَّلُ الْمَلِّءِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ) جبريل (فِيهَا) في تلك الليلة (بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم) بأمره (صِ كُلِّ أَمْرِ) قضاه اللّٰه (سَلَمّ هِى) ليلة القدر ليلة سلام ( حَتَّى مَطْلَعِ الْعَجْرِ هي في كل رمضان وقال الرسول صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم: (التمسوها في العشر الأواخر في تاسعة تبقى يعني ليلة إحدى وعشرين، في سابعة …
