Sūrat Al-Nūr · 24 : 21

۞يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ وَمَن يَتَّبِعۡ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِ فَإِنَّهُۥ يَأۡمُرُ بِٱلۡفَحۡشَآءِ وَٱلۡمُنكَرِۚ وَلَوۡلَا فَضۡلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيۡكُمۡ وَرَحۡمَتُهُۥ مَا زَكَىٰ مِنكُم مِّنۡ أَحَدٍ أَبَدࣰ ا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُزَكِّي مَن يَشَآءُۗ وَٱللَّهُ سَمِيعٌ عَلِيمࣱ‏

O ye who believe! Follow not the footsteps of the devil. Unto whomsoever followeth the footsteps of the devil, lo! he commandeth filthiness and wrong. Had it not been for the grace of Allah and His mercy unto you, not one of you would ever have grown pure. But Allah causeth whom He will to grow. And Allah is Hearer, Knower — Pickthall

The site’s Arabic edition follows Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ; the reference text quoted here and the matcher behind the Fī Riyāḍ loci are Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim. Content is nearly identical, but verse-boundary numbering diverges in a handful of places. Each locus carries its own witness’s numbering. Page references follow the ten-volume Tunis 2022 printing this site was transcribed from; published scholarship on this text cites the six-volume Tunis 2010 printing, whose pagination is different.

Recording only — no text here. Lesson 36 is titled by sūra rather than by āya; its bounds (Q 24:6–Q 25:77) are inferred from where the neighbouring sessions begin, so they are soft at the edges. Of the 136 āyāt in that span, as many as 51 are quoted in the transcription; this one is not among them, so whether he comments on it is not established.
