Sūrat Al-Nisāʾ · 4 : 115

وَمَنْ مِنۢ مَا لَهُ مَا جَهَنَّمَۖ

And whoso opposeth the messenger after the guidance (of Allah) hath been manifested unto him, and followeth other than the believer's way, We appoint for him that unto which he himself hath turned, and expose him unto hell - a hapless journey's end — Pickthall

The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. A word carries no underline where the corpus supplies no root. Lexicon entries are a reading aid and carry no page reference; the edition does not cite them. لا له إلا من أمر بصدقة أو معروف أو سعى في إصلاح ذات البين \!. قال جبريل إنه تمنى لو كان آدميا ليحضر في مجلس عالم، وتمنى أن يكون آدميا ليسعى في إصلاح ذات البين، وتمنى أن يكون آدميا ليحفر بئرا ويسقي من مائها، وتمنى أن يكون آدميا ليحضر جنازة مسلم أو يعود مريضا، هذه رأى جبريل فيها من الفضائل ما حمله على تمني أن يكون آدميا مع جلالة قدره. (وَمَنْ يَشَافِق الرَّسُولَ) يخالف الرسول فيما جاء به (مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهَدِى) ظهر له الحق بالمعجزات (وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ ٱلْمُومِنِينَ) طريقا غير طريقهم (نَوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلِّى) نجعله واليا لما تولاه من الضلال أي نخلي بينه وبين ضلالته في الدنيا وَنُصْلِهِ، ( ندخله في الآخرة جَهَنَّمَ فيحترق فيها ( وَسَآءَتْ مَصِيراً)) مرجعا. من خالف أمر الرسول صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم هذا جزاؤه عند اللّٰه تبارك وتعالى وكذلك من اتبع غير سبيل المؤمنين.
