وَمِنَ لَا وَلَا اِ۬لذِے إِن إِيَّاهُ

Shaykh Ibrāhīm Niasse (d. 1975) read the whole Qurʾān aloud at Medina Baye over fifty-six sessions between ẓuhr and ʿaṣr in Ramaḍān 1383/1964, and his students wrote those sessions down as Fī Riyāḍ al-Tafsīr. The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. A word carries no underline where the corpus supplies no root. Lexicon entries are a reading aid and carry no page reference; the edition does not cite them. لِلشَّمْسٍ وَلا لِلْقَمَرٍ وَاسْجُدُواْ لِلهِ الذِى خَلَقَهَنَّ) الآيات الأربع هذه من آيات اللّه. الليل من آيات اللّٰه والنهار من آيات الله، والشمس والقمر كذلك، من شدة حماقتهم جعلوا آيات اللّه هي الآلهة فيسجدون للشمس أو القمر أو الليل أو النهار، وهذه آيات لله لا تستحق العبادة، لا تسجدوا للأربع «وَاسْجُدُواْ لِلهِ اِ۬لذِے خَلَقَهُنَّ» {إِن كُنتُمُ, إِيَّاهَ تَعْبُدُونُ بَإِنِ إسْتَكْبَرُواْ عن السجود لله وحده (بَالذِيسَ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ) فالملائكة (يُسَبِّحُونَ) يصلون (لَهُۥ بِاليْلِ وَالنَّه۪ارِ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْـَٔمُونَۖ) الكفار إذا تكبروا عن السجود لله فذلك يضرهم ولا يضر اللّٰه شيئا، لأن الملائكة وهم أرفع منهم قدرا يصلون ليلا ونهارا لا يفترون أبدا. والإنسان لا يقدر على هذا ولكن عليك بالغدوة والروحة وشيء من الدلجة1 واكلفوا من العمل ما تطيقون فإن اللّٰه لا يمل حتى تملوا 2، وإن المنبتَّ لا أرضا قطع ولا ظهرا أبقى 3. من أراد أن
