ثُمَّ مِّنۢ وَمِنْ وَعَنَ وَعَن وَلَا

Then I shall come upon them from before them and from behind them and from their right hands and from their left hands, and Thou wilt not find most of them beholden (unto Thee) — Pickthall

The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. والله تبارك وتعالى ليس بظلام للعبيد، ومستجيب لكل من دعاه، حتى إبليس الكافر طلب منه الإنظار فأنظره، ما أعطاه كل مطلوبه، هو كان يطلب أن يبقى حيا إلى يوم القيامة وذلك لأمرين: إذا بقي إلى يوم القيامة لا يموت بعد أو إذا مات في ذلك اليوم لا يحاسب وإن لم يحاسب فلا يدخل النار، لم يعط هذا ولكن أعطي البقاء إلى آخر الدهر (قَالَ قَيِبَا أَغْوَبْتَنِ بإغوائك لي (لَا فَعْدَلَّ لَهُمْ لبني آدم ( صِرَاطَكَ الْمُسْتَفِيمَ) على الطريق الموصل إليك (ثُمَّ لآَتِيَنَّهُم مِنْ بَيْ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمِنْ خَلْعِهِمْ وَعَىَ آيْمَٰنِهِمْ وَعَى شَمَآبِلِهِمْ) أي من كل جهة فأمنعهم عن سلوكه، قال ابن عباس ولا يستطيع أن يأتي فوقهم لئلا يحول بين العبد وبين رحمة الله. أقسم إبليس أنه يقعد لبني آدم صراط اللّٰه المستقيم وسيأتيهم من جهة اليمين والشمال والأمام والخلف ولكن لا يأتيهم من فوق (وَلَاَ تَجِدْ أَكْثَرَهُمْ شَكِرِينَ) مؤمنين (قَالَ أَخْرُجْ مِنْهَا مَذْءُوما أي معيبا أو ممقوتا (مَدْحُوران مبعدا عن الرحمة (لَمَن تَبِعَكَ
