Shaykh Ibrāhīm Niasse (d. 1975) read the whole Qurʾān aloud at Medina Baye over fifty-six sessions between ẓuhr and ʿaṣr in Ramaḍān 1383/1964, and his students wrote those sessions down as Fī Riyāḍ al-Tafsīr. The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. A word carries no underline where the corpus supplies no root. Lexicon entries are a reading aid and carry no page reference; the edition does not cite them. بل أنت خير الناس أكرمك اللّٰه بأن جعل شيطانك مسلما، شيطاني أغواني وشيطانك جعله اللّٰه مسلما تبعا لك، وقهر لك عدوك وزوّجك زوجة مثل عائشة سيدة نساء الجنة، وأحي لك جميع الأنبياء تعظيما لك، - ليلة الإسراء بعث اللّٰه الأنبياء كلا فأَمَّهم صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم إكراما له أو إكراما لهم - وأطلعك على أسرار أمتك، - كل ما نعمل فالرسول صلى اللّٰه عليه وسلم يشاهده في محله - وأعطى لأمتك ست خصال: أنا أحبطت من الجنة بمعصية وأمتك يعصون ولا يخرجون من المسجد، وانتزع مني لباسي بمعصية وأمتك تعصي اللّٰه ولا ينزع الستر عنهم، ونقصت قامتي وأمتك تعصي ولا تنقص قاماتهم، وفرق بيني وبين زوجتي وأمتك تعصي اللّٰه ولا يفرق بين الأزواج، وأنا بكيت مائتي سنة قبل أن يغفر لي وأمتك يغفر لهم عندما يستغفرون، أنت خير الناس، صدق، (مَكُلُواْ مِمَّا غَيْتُمْ حَلَلًا طَيِّبَا وَاتَّقُواْ أللَّةٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَحِيمٌ يَأَيُّهَا التَّيِءُ فُل لِمَ فِيّ أَيْدِيكُم مِ الآسْرِىَ ) نزلت في العباس بن عبد المطلب 2 لما أعطى هذا من …
