في البحر ما عندهم إلا هذه السفينة (فَأَرَدتُّ أَنَ آعِيبَهَا وَكَانَ وَرَآءَهُم مَلِكٌ يَاخُذُ كُلَّ سَفِينَةٍ) صالحة (غَصْبا)) كان أمامهم ملك إذا رأى سفينة صالحة غصبها وإذا رأى فيها فسادا تركها فقلع الخضر هذا اللوح، فلما رأى الملك السفينة رآها معيبة فتركها لهم، فلما جاوزوا محل الملك ردوا سفينتهم على حالتها وبقيت لهم، هذا مقصود الخضر (وَأَمَّا اَ۬لْغُلَٰمُ فَكَانَ أَبَوَٰهُ مُومِنَيْنِ فَخَشِينَآ أَنْ يُّرْهِقَهُمَا طُغْيَٰناࣰ وَكُفْراࣰۖ) كذلك الغلام الذي قتله الخضر إنما هو غلام رأى عليه طابع الكفر وأبواه يحبانه حبا خشي الخضر أن يرتدا بسببه فقتله

A run of consecutive words in this paragraph — three at the shortest — occurs in one place in the muṣḥaf and nowhere else, and every āya lying inside that run is credited, so a run crossing a boundary attests both. Matching folds together the letter shapes the scan confuses, so the words need not stand in the āya exactly as printed.
