Sūrat Ṭāhā · 20 : 96

بِمَا لَمْ بِهِۦ مِّنَ وَكَذَٰلِكَ لِے

He said: I perceived what they perceive not, so I seized a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, and then threw it in. Thus my soul commended to me — Pickthall

The āya above is Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ, the rasm of the printed edition. The root behind each underlined word comes from a Ḥafṣ ʿan ʿĀṣim corpus, realigned to this Warsh text word by word; 125 of the 6,236 āyāt differ in word count between the two riwāyāt, and those were aligned rather than assumed. ترخ) لن نزال ( عَلَيْهِ عَكِمِينَ) على عبادته مقيمين ( حَتَّىٰ يَرْجِعَ إِلَيْنَا مُوبِّ ا نعن لا نترك عبادة العجل إلا إذا رجع موسى (قَالَ) موسى بعد رجوعه (يَهَرُونُ مَا مَتَقَتَ إِذْ رَأَيْتَهم صَلُّوا بعبادته (أَلَّا تَتَّبِعَرِةَ) صار موسى يغضب على هارون ويقول له: ما منعك من اتباعي لما عبدوا العجل؟ (أَبَعَصَيْتَ أَمْرِي) بإقامتك بين من يعبد غير اللّٰه تعالى، ما لك لا تتبعني أي ألا تتبعني في الغضب لله تبارك وتعالى وقتالهم والخروج فورا على أثري؟ هذا هو كان مطلبه من أخيه. لما عبدوا غير اللّٰه كان من حقه أن يغضب كما غضب موسى، وأن يقاتلهم أو يخرج مهاجرا عنهم. قَالَ) هارون (يَبْنَوْمَ) استعطفه بِهذه الكلمة (لا تَاخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِ) وقد أخذ موسى بلحيته وشعر رأسه أخذ بشماله لحيته وبيمينه شعر رأسه غضبا عليه فصار يجره، قال «لا تَاخُذْ بِلِحْيَتِ» (وَلَا بِرَأْسِىَ إِنِّى خَشِيتْ) لو اتبعتك ( أَن تَفُولَ بَرَّفْتَ بَيْنَ بَنْت إِسْرَآءِيلَ) كنت أخاف أني إذا خرجت على أثرك وتركتهم في هذه الحالة …
